Graduated at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Milan under Antonio Pocaterra, he later obtained the Master degree Konzertdiplom with Paul Szabo. He also specialized in chamber music with the Trio di Trieste and in the Baroque repertoire with Gaetano Nasillo (graduating with full marks).
As a soloist and chamber musician he performed in important concert halls in Europe, America, Asia, and Africa. As principal cello in the “Camerata ducale” orchestra he worked with international soloists.
Passionate about the history of the cello, he has edited publications of Italian music from the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries. He has given masterclasses at major universities and academies in Spain, Sweden, Poland, Portugal and Argentina.
He is the holder of the chair of cello at the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” of Como.
