This year too, Bormio’s citizens and its guests will have the possibility to appreciate a series of meetings with music and its artists, within an evocative atmosphere that will diffuse pleasant sounds in the town.My wish is that everybody – from the youngsters to the elders – can feel themselves involved in this undertaking, which takes place thanks to the engaged efforts of the invited musicians.I hope that this “musical laboratory” can become a permanent event of late summer, and wish it ever-increasing success.

It is with great honour and real interest that the Province of Sondrio has granted its patronage to this important initiative. This original project, which is international in scope, will make our valley a workshop for the training of new generations of musicians. The participants will be able to compare each other’s artistic views and strengthen their abilities thanks to the intense programme of study delivered within such a context as Valtelline, which, I am sure, will enchant our Italian and foreign guests, and give them impressions that are particularly suited to contribute to their musical inspiration. I give all the participants, organisers and teachers my best wishes for the perfect success of an event that, I hope, is destined to be repeated in time.
