Alessandro Casari, Vocal ensembleI earned my diplomas in Piano (1989), Choral Music and Choral Direction (1996), Harpsichord (1997) and Opera Singing (1998), from the Conservatorio Luca Marenzio (Italian State Music Academy) in Brescia.
After studying Liberal Arts, I graduated in Education from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Brescia (1994).
I attended a postgraduate course in Baroque Singing at the Laboratorio Internazionale della Civica Scuola di Milano, under the guidance of R. Gini and C. Miatello.
I also attended improvers courses in Lanciano, Riva del Garda, Mozarteum, Urbino and released several records for labels like Stradivarius, Naxos, Astreè, Amadeus, Bongiovanni.
In 1997, I started publishing the cd series titled “I tesori della musica sacra bresciana”.
The reviews are enthusiastic: the album containing the performance of Biagio Marini's “Lagrime di Davide sparse nel miserere” earned five Diapasons and the “R” from Repertoire. The performance of the Vinaccessi's work has been defined as “a lively performance, revealing an exquisite sensitivity to the music” (Amadeus 08/2002) and as for the performer: “a skilled virtuoso in the emphasizing of the Venetian organ's tone-colours” (CD classica Ottobre 2002).
Last release is Luca Marenzio's “Madrigali Spirituali”, while another cd dedicated to Benedetto Marcello's Psalms is being published. Besides giving many concerts, working as main organist for the Pieve di Sant'Andrea in Iseo and as director of the “Coro Polifonico Città di Chiari”, “Coro Filarmonico di Brescia” and of the ensemble “Gli Erranti”, I'm also a teacher in Italian literature.
